The global truck and engine manufacturer came to us and wanted a solution for their surplus. They had many sites all over the world - I think over 140 manufacturer sites. They're working in marine, truck and transportation and they really had no idea what surplus they had within their facilities. 

So they came to us wanting to install a program to understand what their surplus was, but more importantly to extract value from that surplus. 

We've been able to deliver these services to them in Asia, Japan, US and all over Europe as well - on a consistent basis. And that's why came to us, because they were so spread. As a global business they needed that level of consistency and support for their own surplus asset management needs. 

The results were they suddenly had an idea of what their equipment was worth, and that's a real challenge because they'd been handling it regionally, or even locally. When they're closing a factory or they have some surplus equipment, the very first thing they didn't know - and what they wanted to come to us for - "what is that worth" or "what is the value of that asset" was, and then they can make strategic decisions based on that.
