Railcars to be auctioned off at Fort Lee

The Department of Defense is auctioning off eight 85-foot passenger railcars at Fort Lee. Bidding for one of the double-deck commuter railcars starts at just $25. “We don’t get railcars very often,” said Melissa Gieringer, spokeswoman for the auction company, Liquidity Services Inc. “It’s going to be interesting to see who buys it and what they do with it.”
