Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany will auction 500,000 pounds of tires and 600,000 pounds of tank tracks to the public through a Defense Department online auction site in an unusual sale. The auctions, which begin as early as Friday, August 30 aim to sell tires formerly used on military vehicles as well as tank tracks and road wheels from retired combat armored vehicles.
