Two Navy landing craft at Naval Station Great Lakes, suitable for amphibious assault, sold Thursday for more than $50,000 each. The boats were among thousands of surplus military items auctioned annually at govliquidation.com.
The 1974 LCM-8s, known as Mike boats, were auctioned online, with one boat fetching $51,000 and the other $56,855.
