A 1953 U.S. Army large tugboat known as the Valley Forge, currently stationed at Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal in Southport, will be deemed as “retired” by the military but it’s far from unusable in the civilian world. The tugboat is 108 feet long and can hold up to 10 passengers, and will be auctioned on www.govliquidation.com. The vessel is fully operational with two Detroit diesel and two Caterpillar diesel engines.
