Warehouse salvages surplus

Government Liquidation has become the eBay of military surplus stuff. The division of Washington D.C.-based Liquidity Services Inc. does business online, but the guts of its operation have been in a south Columbus warehouse for the past four years. It holds the exclusive contract to sell U.S. Department of Defense surplus equipment and gear with major hubs in Central Ohio and Oklahoma City.

“It all comes here,” said Bill Honaker, director of the Columbus operation. “We don’t get ordnance or guns or anything dangerous, though we do get some bayonets sometimes.”
