Winning Sustainability Accolades: Liquidity Services Recognized as Computerworld Honors Laureate

It is easy to see that sustainability is at the core of our mission at Liquidity Services, as we have helped organizations — from Fortune 1000 companies to mid-sized enterprises and small businesses — deter millions of items from landfills over the past 13 years. For this work on behalf of our clients, we are honored to be named a 2013 Computerworld Honors Laureate in the Sustainability category as a company who has significantly benefitted business or society through sustainability and information technology.

Every year, IDG’s Computerworld recognizes companies around the world who have used applications of information technology to promote positive social, economic, and educational change. Liquidity Services was chosen from a large pool of applicants for its reverse supply chain solution, which has used technology and online marketplaces to establish zero-waste initiatives globally for Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. This honor places Liquidity Services among some of the most successful and innovative companies in the U.S., such as IBM, HP, and Microsoft Corporation.

At the Computerworld Honors Program Awards, our nomination was placed in the program’s international archives. These archives can be accessed by researchers, students, and scholars, and are made available in museums and research institutions throughout the world.
